Daniel Taub Reacts To Controversial Comments Made By MP George Galloway

Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom Daniel Taub was born in 1962 in Great Britain to a Jewish family. After extensive study at such prestigious academic institutions as Harvard University, University College Oxford and University College London, he moved with his family to Israel.

This move was predicated on his desire to raise his children in his people’s historic homeland. He has had a long and distinguished diplomatic career that has seen him return to his country of birth as Israel’s U.K. ambassador.

Daniel’s tenure in his ambassadorial role has seen great successes that include a doubling of trade between Israel and the United Kingdom. There have been difficult situations as well though.

Recent comments by a prominent U.K. MP prompted Daniel Taub to visit the city of Bradford. This was the topic of an article featured on The Algemeiner.

Daniel made it a point to note that the impression he got when visiting Bradford was not at all consistent with the attitude expressed by George Galloway.

He doesn’t believe that Galloway’s attitude of exclusion is the real voice of the people of Bradford and noted that the city is actually “an important model of how people from all faiths and backgrounds can live and work and co-operate together.”

Daniel Taub was not the only official that was concerned over Galloway’s comments.

The British police are investigating further into Galloway’s statements after the remarks caused huge upheaval on numerous social media outlets. The comments from Galloway are in many ways not surprising.

The MP has a long and well-documented history of anti-Israel sentiment.
